Kristen: The Queen of Cannes

Hear ye, hear ye!  A new queen has been anointed- and her name is Kristen Stewart.

Today, the heads of the Cannes Film Festival held a press conference to announce the lineup- and two of Kristen's films will be premiering!

Kristen's film Cafe Society, directed by Woody Allen, will open the festival.

And her collaboration with renowned director Oliver Assayas, Personal Shopper, will also premiere at the festival.   Kristen has worked with Assayas in the past, when he directed her in Clouds of Sils Maria, for which she became the first American actress to win a César acting award.

The director of the Festival, Thierry Frémaux, announced the film's inclusion saying,

"Kristen Stewart, who will be one of the queens of Cannes.
We have that in movies, when a filmmaker grabs any excuse to work with someone. And here it's Kristen Stewart and we're happy about it."

 What a commendation!

Perhaps in celebration of the endorsement, producers of Personal Shopper have released a new picture from the movie, where Kristen's perfect bone structure and high cheekbones are on full display:

Congratulations Kristen.  We can't wait to see you on the croisette!
